ATSA has continued in supporting work experience opportunities for students by hosting Mathew Brain of Kotara High School for a project to build a battery-powered ROV from scratch.
Using plans from the book 'Build Your Own Underwater Robot' by Harry Bohm and Vickie Jensen, Mathew was able completed all tasks to construct the ROV including specifying and ordering parts, mechanical and electrical construction and test in the ATSA test tank. Mathew said that the project was very satisfying and enjoyable and that he hopes to enter a career in engineering following completion of High School.
